Atkinson Freight Lines is a regional carrier based
16 miles northeast of Philadelphia in Bensalem, PA. We operate 150 tractors and over 450 trailers,
all 53' x 102" in the 13 northeastern states.

Operationally we have mastered the nuances of the
northeast corridor during our 125-year history.

We have grown conservatively over the years by enjoying long-term relationships with a small group of blue chip accounts. We plan to continue to serve them for years to come.

Our customer base continues to encourage us to increase our capacity as well as our service commitments. This is why we have made a strategic decision to grow at a slightly more aggressive rate than we have in the past, as well as broaden our base of accounts.

This decision comes only after re-inventing our company over the past 12 months. We have reorganized all our departments to position us for growth. We have spent almost $500,000 in high-tech hardware and software solutions including EDI, Internet, imaging, operations planning, executive reporting and profitability analysis. Additionally, our relationship with Qualcomm has insured our tractors are accurately tracked by satellite for over 12 years.

All this to insure a high level of service to our customers and to operate profitably in the most difficult market in the country.

AFL has made its niche over the years delivering on time. Tough grocery and supply house deliveries, as well as just in time deliveries to distribution centers or manufacturers make up a large part of our volume. We are committed to solving your logistic problems.
